In today’s SONday blog, I feature a video posted on my FB page from longtime dear friend Grace Manuel from all the way “DownUnda” in Melbourne, Victoria, in which Pastor Warwick Marsh from Australian Heart Ministries shares an Australian prayer for America. More’s the pity that We The People need other Godly people resident halfway round the world, to bring God, faith, and prayer back into the United States, but let We the People never, ever, forget, that it was the likes of George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, and the Wesley family who were the birthers of the Great Awakening of 18th Century Britain and the American colonies. The Holy Spirit moves when people full of the Holy Spirit move with Him! Just like the Australian prayer for America, the key prayer focus is that “America would fulfill its prophetic destiny as a nation called by God to fulfill the purposes and plans of God on the earth.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11

This Australian prayer for America is founded on two key prayer scriptures. The first is Ezekiel 22:30, “I looked for a man who would stand in the Gap…” and secondly II Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name…”

This Australian prayer for America also features quotations, prayers and references to America’s founding fathers, the Pilgrim Fathers 1620, and the momentous Mayflower Compact; the American Declaration of Independence 1776; America’s first president, George Washington; the third President, Thomas Jefferson; plus historic proclamations of prayer, fasting and humiliation from Governors John Hancock and Samuel Adams who were signatories to the declaration of independence. President Abraham Lincoln’s plea for prayer is also featured.

This Australian prayer for America is prayed on behalf of the people of Australia and the peoples of the World that America would again experience a Joel 2:13 moment and turn back to the God of their Fathers. Both Australia and America and the nations of the world need a move of repentance and a Holy Ghost revival if they are to avert the judgment of God. In this regard, the next Australian national day of prayer for the world is detailed in this link, and is scheduled for Sunday 7th February, 2016 … www.nationaldayofprayer.com.au

Although not a signer of the Declaration, George Washington was prepared to sign the American Declaration of Independence with his own blood and it was only for the fact that he was defending America at the time that he was unable to add his signature to the document. We commend to you the amazing prayers of George Washington for your further reading.

And a few selected comments from We The People, hundreds of whom responded to this post, Australian prayer for America:

Thank you Australia, what kind hearts you all have,  and our hearts were also touched to think that another country would pray for America; “when the Roll is called up yonder you will be there”, and I pray those who govern America will open their eyes and turn their hearts around to God, our Wonderful Savior, before it is too late.  Thank you,  you have millions of friends in America. ~ Marilyn Bennett

As someone living in the USA and witnessing the decline of our society, I thank you so much for your prayers. I too am very touched by this prayer. God Bless you Australia. I feel like our country is in self-destruct mode and totally pushing God out of everything. We need God’s divine intervention and revival here. I am deeply, deeply grateful. ~ Vicki Woods

Like many others, I am deeply touched by your prayer for my country.  I worry about our nation, and know that God is the solution.  We, as a people, must turn back to Him, and humble ourselves enough to follow in His ways.  You are a wonderful man with a giving, caring heart.  I thank you, with all of mine. ~ Kristin Angelos

THANK YOU AUSTRALIA!  My heart and eyes weep for USA!  We are in much need of the blessings of other countries; many people in the USA are weary and in need of renewed strength.  Thank you again for your prayers for USA to turn back to God.  Blessings! ~ Linda Tanner

Thank you brothers and sisters in Australia and all over this world for your passionate prayers for our country. Many of us in the USA understand the importance of our country needing to turn back to God. Unfortunately there are far too many more who don’t. So we join you in prayer for all and we ask that The Lord reciprocate His Blessings on our land to yours. IN THE NAME OF THE ONE TRUE SAVIOR, JESUS, AMEN!
~ Duwayne Stevenson

Psalm 1 [1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. [5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. [6] For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. ~ Margaret Hawkins
