Many of us tend to forget that while the messenger of God, Donald Trump, is wholly and legitimately president of the United States, God is author and finisher of everything. At times, it’s very difficult to remember that, especially after so many Obama years of wrongs gone unpunished, injustice overlooked, and betrayal of the innocents. Like millions of others, I pray daily for this president’s victory over our enemies, foreign and domestic, and for perfect justice and peace to rule in this nation.

Since its miraculous founding, America has played a key role in history, and when one looks at all the miracles we’ve received in our history, i.e. weather events that gave us victory in several key battles, critical mistakes made by opponents, the rich natural bounty of the land the pilgrims fled to (I could go on and on) it surely demonstrates that God not only had and still has a plan for us, but to this day he is also actively carrying it out.

In many instances God allows us to slide away, then he brings us back, mainly by letting us realize what evil looks like when liberal progressives gain power. Currently, God is using Trump as he did Cyrus, and that has been evident since the regal descent down the Trump Tower escalator two years ago.

Viewing presidential succession since the Reagan years clearly demonstrates this, and actually perfectly illustrates Trump’s win as God’s messenger. Any other progression, such as Gore winning over Bush, would have meant a McCain or similar would have had the Obama timeframe and we’d be almost as bereft today of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ as if Hillary Clinton had won.

One description for this Godly intervention is ‘Jehovah Jireh’ (God is my Provider), the big mystery to me being why God’s favor rests currently on us as a people over any other, which leads to the bigger mystery of where He is taking all of this. However it all turns out should be a key indicator that if anyone is not in a relationship with God, now might be a good time to seriously consider it.

All of this preamble a lead-in to an excellent piece on the topic from Jerry Gardner in American Thinker titled “Donald Trump: God’s Man” …

An Old Testament prophet said, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land[.]” That’s part of a Bible verse from Ezekiel – chapter 22, verse 30 – and the gist of what Ezekiel said is that God went looking for a man to stand in the gap to stop sin’s encroachment. It was 600 B.C. or so that God judged His people.

Fast-forward some 2,600 years to the days of William F. Buckley. Mr. Buckley said something similar to Ezekiel’s words when Buckley defined a conservative as “someone who stands athwart history, yelling Stop.” Buckley’s quote is on point. Not since Ronald Reagan has a U.S. president said something like that and meant it. There is another whose words echo Buckley’s, but let’s digress a bit before we concern ourselves with him.

It was August of 1968, and I remember it as though it were yesterday, as I watched the televised riots in Chicago outside the meeting of the Democrat National Convention. If I remember right, hardly anyone was arrested. The rioters, barbarians all, were at the door. Usually, when barbarians come, somebody bars the door, but not this time.

Why did party leaders treat the rioters so mildly? Perhaps they wanted new blood to energize a tired old party. If that was their purpose, they got what they wanted, but they got something else, too. This new blood with all its new energy supplanted the old order, and today that “new blood,” or its protégés, runs the DNC. Naturally, in order to look presentable, the barbarians took baths, put on clean clothes, and combed their hair. It was a façade, a change in appearance only. The barbarians refused to grow up, and they haven’t grown up since; nevertheless, along with the DNC, they have infested academia, the press, and Hollywood. The result is that today, the DNC has a stranglehold on the good old U.S. of A.[end]

Evangelical preachers lay hands on President Trump and pray over him .. WH July 10 2017…

On reflection, to state the obvious, the Presidency of Barack Obama was essential in getting the Church to intercede in earnest and that intercession had the desired results. Now, as God’s messenger, Trump stands against the evil and perverse forces arrayed against him, and it behooves We the People to continue praying for him to be led of God, fearless and safe, as there is no other word but “supernatural” to explain how this man made it to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

In a strange way, McCain gave us Obama, but Obama gave us Trump. Had McCain won in 2008, or even Romney in 2012, our likely fate would have mirrored the boiling frog parable.

“The boiling frog is a parable describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.”

Obama somehow winning the presidency TWICE, put us all in hot water. Donald Trump was America’s way of jumping out of the boiling water, to save itself.

In closing, it could be said that preventing McCain from becoming President was the only positive thing Obama ever did. Other than perhaps, two other good things: He slithered under Carter at the bottom of the Presidential ash heap, and singlehandedly, he started the Tea Party. That guy on the trading floor in Chicago (ie Rick Santelli) was the straw that broke Obama the camel’s back…

God moves in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform!
