E. W. Jackson declares that Great Society worse for black families than slavery. Transcript:

“My great grandparents, Gabriel and Elijah Jackson were slaves and sharecroppers in Orange County, Virginia. I am a direct descendant of slaves.

My grandfather was born there, to a father and a mother who had been slaves.

And by the way, their family was more intact than the black family is today and I’m telling you that slavery did not destroy the black family even though it certainly was an attack on the black family, it made it difficult.

But I’ll tell you that the programs that began in the ’60s, the programs that began to tell women that you don’t need a man in the home, the government will take care of you; and when they began to tell men, you don’t need to be in the home, the government will take care of this woman and take care of these children; that’s when the black family began to deteriorate.

In 1960, most black children were raised in two parent, monogamous families. But now, by this time, we have only 20% of black children being raised in a two parent, monogamous families with the married man and woman raising those children.

It wasn’t slavery that did that, it was government that did that. It tried to solve problems that only God can solve and that only we as human beings can solve.”

Comments from contributors:

* And here we have the Democratic President commentary on voting rights:

* “I’ll have those ni**ers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” ~ Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One

* “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.” ~ Lyndon B. Johnson

* The first comment was spot-on, and ignoring every broken promise and failure to deliver, it continues to be true currently.

* Agreed, there is freedom to make personal choices, but the free lunch is now, anything else is in the future.  Any black voting Democrat is just insuring things will continue as before. The track record indicates such.

* The Democrat Party: for slavery then, for slavery now, for slavery forever! Only thing changes is who’s to be the slaves.

* I think many of the Black folks I grew up with would see that all they sacrificed and worked to achieve is being trampled in the dirt. “They’d whup alla them commie asses.” ( Which, btw, is Blackspeak for giving them a good hard punch in the face.)

* And yet, liberals take the moral high ground in race relations. It is just so crazy.

* I’ve known lots of black people in my life; when I was a young fatherless boy, some of ’em taught me how to work and have respect for myself and other people.

* Another thing they taught me is the difference between black folks and niggers, which they made no bones about. I weep to think what they’d make of the mess their race has been turned into.
