Now consider those numbers from the Luke passage in context with: August 21, planetary-aligned Solar Eclipse; August 25, the biggest Texas coast hurricane in history; August 26, Biblical proportion flooding in Houston. Powerful stuff. If you’ve ever needed a reason to find your faith or to pray, the time would appear to be NOW …

As I opined earlier this past week, it has been a case of Americans helping Americans ‘Bigly’. Call it the president Donald Trump effect. Call it the not believing the Big Fake News Media effect. Heck, call it the anti-DemoRINOs singular party effect but there always seems to be an inherent American Spirit when disaster strikes and the true American ‘can-do’ effect kicks into place. Truly, Americans helping Americans bigly.
The more we learn about the family, the more they seem to care about we the people, and it’s hard now to imagine America without Donald Trump and his family; it isn’t so much what they do and feel for themselves which is endearing, but what they do and feel for We the People.
President Trump for instance has donated $1,000,000 of his own money to the cause (would anybody in Congress like to do the same, or the Big Fake News Media? – God knows, all of them can afford it) .. Around the country volunteers are headed to Texas. Convoys of donated supplies are headed to Texas. The Cajun Navy from Louisiana rescued many stranded Texans. This is Americans coming together to meet an emergency. And all the alphabet government agencies are AWOL or dragging their feet.
True Americans (including naturalized ones like yours truly) respond to a crisis and help out their neighbors. Fake Americans – the Obama/Clinton/Soros liberal progressive Left which owns the DemoMarxist Party – stand on the sidelines and cheer the devastation. No comparison could be more clear.

I wrote a post similar to this on my facebook page a few days ago. I pointed out the contrast between the hatred and division we had seen just a few weeks ago and the love and unity we are seeing now. True character is always revealed in adversity. Given that, the love, kindness and compassion on display in Texas now is what defines us. Yes, there are people who are rejoicing in the suffering of others and taking advantage of it by looting, but these people are the exception not the rule. I agree with the author that what we are seeing now is the real America. This is who we really are! Our own goodness will never be enough to save our eternal souls. Only Jesus can do that. But, it can make life in this world so much easier to bear. There is always a silver lining to every cloud. Some are just more obvious than others. This one shines bright as the sun!

And it needs to be shut down. But it won’t be for a while, since they are a well-funded overall group (see Soros and his billions). I’m not a big ‘make a new law’ person – but I would absolutely support laws against covering your face at these “riots” that the media laughably calls “protests.”
