The prophet Isaiah foretold that a conqueror named Cyrus would destroy seemingly impregnable Babylon and subdue Egypt along with most of the rest of the known world. This same man, said Isaiah, would decide to let the Jewish exiles in his territory go free without any payment of ransom (Isaiah 44:28; 45:1; and 45:13). Isaiah made this prophecy 150 years before Cyrus was born, 180 years before Cyrus performed any of these feats (and he did, eventually, perform them all), and 80 years before the Jews were taken into exile. (Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 10 to the 15th.) ~ From Dr. Hugh Ross, Reasons To Believe

I believe without swaying one way or another as it relates to the Donald Trump conundrum, that if you look since the Flood and the judgment of Sodom & Gomorrah, at who God has used to keep mankind rooted in Godly principles throughout Biblical history, in many notable confrontations you would likely see some of the very same characteristics of the man who has just secured enough delegates to be nominated as the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States. Moses is one who immediately comes to mind; Joshua yet another. Go through the series of Judges for another example, and then the “crowning glory” of allowing Saul to become the first king of Israel which ended in nothing short of a tragedy. David at least admitted his frailty in the Psalm of sobs, the 51st., but what would make anyone believe that God has left the “broken vessel” on the potter’s wheel? The genealogy of Christ alone puts the entire behavior of mankind right under the spotlight, thereby allowing his anointing to fall upon the weak as well as the strong. The vain as well as the humble. The warrior as well as the peacemaker. “Mr. Smith goes to Washington” against the Establishment politicians. Mr. Everyman as watchman on the wall.

The subject of today’s topic came across my transom the other day from long-time Facebook friend Lisa Carlson-Peterson and is an interesting perspective as to how and why the phenomenon known as Donald Trump may well have the hidden (yet very translucent) hand of God behind it. In a fascinating 20-minutes or so, Dr. Lance Wallnau from Keller, Texas (a little West of Lewisville) lays out with reasoned biblical argument the underlying truth of how, why, and for what purpose, God may in fact be moving surreptitiously among the affairs of men in this year of 2016, just as he has over the many millennia since the fall of man in the garden.

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. ~ Acts 9:14-18

Just as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were used as illustrations in last week’s topic of hiding and disguising the threat of Islam to the world’s civilizations, so comes the rise of a complete outsider in the form of Donald Trump to basically ride roughshod over the aspirations of lifelong elitist political operatives who for some strange reason or other, feel entitled to a lifetime of corruption and intrigue to their own benefit by way of financial largess in the hallowed halls of Congress. Insider information from the myriads of lobbyists constantly stalking targeted lynchpins has been responsible for the generation of literally thousands of politicos leaving Congress with millions upon millions of dollars hidden away in offshore bank accounts. Then along comes Mr. Everyman to declare “enough is enough!”

Following the introduction from Bill Still, Dr. Wallnau comes in around the 2:42 mark…

10 Prophetic Insights About Trump

  • He is raised up as a “wrecking ball” for the benefit of the nation.
  • Trump is an Isaiah 45 “Cyrus Ruler”
  • His advisors will determine his success or failure.
  • His success will be proportionate to the unity of the church and its agreement in intercession impacting his advisors. His greatest vulnerability will be his Israel initiative.
  • Intercession will make him open to wise counsel.
  • He is raised up for what is coming… a “Chaordic” period of time, including an economic “reset.”
  • He is a “common grace” vessel who does not know the Lord as he will know the Lord through divine encounter experienced in the crucible of his service.
  • Mr. Trump’s wife, Melania, is a key. She is sensitive to the prophetic in the same way that Pilate’s wife had dreams that were connected to her husband. His entire house is called to the service of the Nation.
  • The chaos that will manifest against him will be a demonic backlash against the authority of his anointing under common grace.
  • The division among evangelicals regarding Trump will expose a fault line in the church. The result will redefine kingdom leadership for the next decade – and advance some voices that have been hidden.
  • As Cyrus authorized Nehemiah to “Build the wall” around Jerusalem, a new energy will come into social reformers and intercessors to spiritually rebuild the crumbled wall around the United States. They will work hand in hand with Ezra’s, an apostolic company of teachers and church builders who will help strengthen the hands of neighborhood, city wide and regional Nehemiah’s seeking to rebuild communities during the coming “reset.”

They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon. For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me .. In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us. ~ Nehemiah 4:17-18/20
