I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: ~ Deuteronomy 30: 19

Continuing to meet and exceed all expectations, with grace, resolve and more energy than seems humanly possible… It’s wonderful to feel pride in our President and country after that long slog in the wasteland. The abortion wasteland, that is.

A contrast: “Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD.” ~  President #44, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, March 2008

Compared with: “Unborn children have never had a stronger defender in the White House. Every life brings love into this world. Every child brings joy to a family. Every person is worth protecting.” ~ President Donald J. Trump, Washington DC, January 24, 2020

Society in general – with very few exceptions – could very easily be labeled as the most hypocritical and pusillanimous group known in the last, say 50+ years, especially when it comes to the topic of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. As a resident of Canada at the time Roe v. Wade made its debut on the world scene, I well remember the lobbying, and cheering, and almost mass-hysteria emanating from the masses at this latest ‘rite of life passage’ brought to the masses by the Supreme Court of the neighboring United States.

To whit: Supreme Court decision. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court issued a 7–2 decision in favor of Roe that held that women in the United States have a fundamental right to choose whether or not to have abortions without excessive government restriction, and struck down Texas’s abortion ban as unconstitutional.

Fast-forward to today and 61 million+ and counting have been ‘offed’ by that decision. To give it some perspective, that is the current population give or take, of the United Kingdom.

Truth be told, once it became clear just how horrific this movement was about to become, there might well have been a rising up of protests far and wide shutting down the offices of every so-called cleric, political PP Abortion/Infanticide clinics, and anybody else involved as pro-abortionists.

Hobnobbing clergy men (yes, clergy), pro-infanticide politicians, Planned Parenthood (and what a misnomer that outfit is) and society in general staying silent as the death toll rose every year, falling short to lead not only massive protests, but failing to lead in general, dooming the 1970s as the decade of death. The cancer simply kept growing and growing. Yet it wasn’t without its efforts to change.

The first March for Life was organized by Nellie Gray, and held on the first anniversary of Roe v Wade on January 22, 1974, and took place on the West Steps of the Capitol. An estimated 20,000 supporters were in attendance at the event which was originally intended as a one-time happening, in hopes that the United States Supreme Court would reverse Roe v. Wade immediately after its ruling.

Fast-forward to today and president Trump became the first United States president to recognize March for Life on its 47th anniversary.

What strikes me as a stark contrast in all of this forever changing scenario within the blight of mankind, is the very fact that on the same day and in the same city that demoMarxocrats were attempting to convince a Senate presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court how supposedly evil and corrupt president Trump is (the very same court, pardon the pun, that gave birth to baby-killing) he’s outside the chambers speaking to people who, for the umpteenth time, are attempting to convince lawmakers and the Supreme Court that a human being still in the womb has a right to exist. Karma!

As a student of history, it hasn’t been sufficiently appreciated that throughout the ages, with marauding barbarians and marauding armies a nearly constant fact of life for many cultures, not to mention the general mistreatment of women as property, a good number of our ancestors were rapists and victims. Consider the genetic background of many Poles, Ukrainians, Russians, etc. and how much DNA comes from the Mongols/Tatars in the Middle Ages.

It should be obvious, but seems worth repeating children should not be executed for the circumstances of their birth!

Baby fetus development at 20 weeks…

Bottom line at the whole heart of the matter, is that medically it’s a human life, a patient, from the very moment of conception. A bank robber accidentally shoots a pregnant woman. She survives, but the baby doesn’t. Robber is charged with “Felony murder”, because someone (baby) died while robber was committing a felony. So, the law recognizes an unborn fetus as a live human being. And legally, robber gets charged, regardless of what trimester.

Someone posted on one of my threads the other day along the lines of: I have moved 180 degrees from the opinion I had of Donald Trump when I heard he was running for President to now. I now agree that, like Roger Stone says, Trump’s life was spared so he could save the Republic. No politician has the guts for that.

That commenter is correct. How unworthy we are, how great is our God! No matter what, those who truly love our Maker will be blessed eternally. God help the fearful and unbelieving. Not to wax too religious, we have two things going for us; a sympathetic President and a Sovereign God who loves His people dearly.

“A sympathetic President and a Sovereign God” … This is true, although President Trump, thank goodness, is much more than ‘sympathetic’ – he is passionately committed, which bodes extremely well for an American revival which hopefully will steer clear of silly idealism, the likes of which the Left is continually attempting to foist upon us.

President Donald Trump is not now being tried for being insubordinate to our laws, but rather for not being subordinate to the arbitrary wishes from leaders on the Left who refuse to accuse him of a crime, lest they place our laws above themselves. What is rather more needed is a renewal of the human qualities necessary to survive and flourish in a nation of sovereign citizens, subordinate to its laws and not its rulers.

Ultimately, one has to firmly believe our President is able to accomplish amazing things because our Creator has heard the prayers of His people, and has equipped him accordingly.

All of which is simply the very best it can be. After all, its origins are from the throne room of Heaven itself!

That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. ~ Deuteronomy 30: 20
