There is little doubt that America’s current societal problem is both spiritual and financial with a huge dose of cultural malignancy thrown into the mix. But it is the ever-present laissez faire laziness towards spiritual degeneracy which needs to be solved first. Ever since LBJ introduced the so-called Johnson Amendment in 1954 (today known as the 501(c)3 taxcode) prohibiting tax-exempt organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates followed by the demonic Satanist Madalyn Murray O’Hair (1963) forcing the banning of prayer and Bible study in schools, the United States has been on a downward spiral to hell in a basket. Remember that both of these decisions ultimately led to the baby-killing decision from the Warren Burger SCOTUS (Roe v Wade) in 1973 which in turn, against the overwhelming will of We The People, led directly to sodomite homosexual same-sex marriage and other perversions from the black-robed executioners known as Supreme Court, District and Circuit Court Justices. Talk about a radical takeover!

Well today, “all the glory belongs to God” as Ted Cruz acknowledged this past Tuesday in the reaction to his victory over both Trump and Rubio in the Iowa Caucus. Back in 1964 RWR gave a speech in support of Barry Goldwater titled “A Time For Choosing” in which he stated that a future generation might express wonder that a people who had so much to lose did so little to prevent it from happening, referencing of course the downward spiral that has been going on for more than 50 years regarding the erosion of freedom and the steady dismantling of the Constitution. Perhaps the Cruz breakthrough will finally put an end to that spiral. After all, despite all the naysayers who would have God shut out of every facet of life in America, the Declaration of Independence alone has five references to God – two in the first paragraph, one in the middle, and two in the last. While the federal constitution makes no reference to God, the constitutions of the following states certainly do: CaliforniaColoradoFlorida, Georgia, Illinois, IowaKansas, Kentucky, MassachusettsMichiganNevadaNew Mexico, PennsylvaniaTexasWisconsin,  Washington, and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. They generally use an invocatio of “God the Almighty” or the “Supreme Ruler of the Universe”.

Additionally, the nation’s motto “In God We Trust” illuminates our currency; the Pledge of Allegiance contains “one nation, under God, indivisible”; the swearing-in of the oath of office from the president on down through both Houses of Congress includes the closing phrase, “so help me God”; and there are numerous other Godly references on Capitol Hill; so please, enough with the “separation of church and state nonsense!”

Someone had to sell the conservative message just as The Great Communicator did in the 80s rather than pander to polls, groups, etc., and that’s precisely what Ted Cruz has been doing since he arrived in the Senate, and as he did in Iowa this past week. Finally, voter turnout for the Iowa Republican caucuses was way up when compared with the count four years ago as there were more than 180,000 people at Monday’s GOP caucuses; up from about 121,000 in 2012. There’s definitely an awakening going on. You know that.

The enduring legacy of that same Senator Johnson mentioned above promulgated a racist-laced declaration that he would “have those N*****s voting Democrat for the next 200 years” as a result of his Great Society legislation introduced in 1964 which greatly expanded the welfare system to include Medicare, Medicaid and many many other insidious welfare programs thereby dramatically increasing citizen dependency on big government. The real reason behind Johnson’s 501(c)3 Amendment in 1954 was to stifle pastors in the pulpit from including God in their political pronouncements, when history shows us the exact opposite. The two historical quotes opening and closing this content are stark reminders of who and what were responsible for the United States coming to fruition, and it was all about God and his faithfulness. Psalm 33:12-13: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

Which leads me into the message my own pastor, Kendall Bridges, brought to FreedomLife Church this past Sunday. In the spirit of 1776 which was brought on by the likes of Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, Peter Muhlenberg, Samuel Davis and many others during the years of the first Great Awakening of 1730-1740, the title of his message says it all: Our Country, Our Culture, Our Church…

Yes, there definitely is a new awakening going on, and it is being swept along from pastors like Franklin Graham, Kendall Bridges and thousands of others who aren’t afraid to call out our national leadership for what and who they are, and aren’t. We the People should be giving them our wholehearted support in this enduring battle to save the Constitutional Republic of the United States, and to make God the sovereign head of our endeavors. In God We Trust!

Personally, yours truly would be more comfortable voting for a someone like Trump should he be the nominee if the other two branches of the government were marginally functional. Since the judiciary and legislative branch have both checked out (Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, are you serious?) it allows thieves, usurpers and Manchurian Candidates to run rampant in the executive branch, checks and balances having gone the way of the dinosaurs. But be that as it may, the GOP has fielded head and shoulders better candidates than the felonious and the downright absurd which the DemoMarxists have put on show, and I may well have to hold my nose come November. Perhaps one of these fine days I’ll be able to vote for someone and not feel like I just endorsed the least evil of the psychopaths available. For instance:
