Like many, I have always admired those brave and courageous souls who enjoy the sport(?) of spelunking or cave exploration.
For many of us, especially those with a mind towards claustrophobia, the very thought of being hundreds, if not thousands – heck, if not miles beneath the comfort of earth’s surface – brings on the palpitating heartbeats of which many nightmares are birthed.
Like enjoying the comfort of vicariously climbing the vaunted Mount Everest courtesy of the brave and courageous photo-fantastic mountain climbers with their high-powered cameras at hand, so the armchair cave explorer may similarly enjoy the excitement of being deep under the mantle of earth to gaze in wonder at the marvel of God’s creation.
Which brings to mind Deuteronomy 29:29 .. The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever.. and Paul reminds us in I Corinthians 2:10-12 ..
