Leftist ‘gotchya’ in deflecting truth … thousands showing up for Trump rallies…

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ~ Hebrews 4: 12,14

John Dietrich, American Thinker: NBC attempted to set a trap for Donald Trump during the Townhall, ambushing the president with interrogation-like questions and then interrupting him as he tried to speak. As usual, it backfired. Never Trumpers believe Savannah Guthrie did an excellent job in her role as moderator of the Trump Townhall. Trump supporters, with good reason, could see it was the exact opposite. But what is important is the view of the large number on undecided viewers. The response of the public does not appear to support the Trump-haters’ reading of events.

Yours truly:
Going way, way, back in time to my schooling in post-WWII England, I learned more in my fledgling high school journalism class (yes, folks, that was then, not the ‘here and now’!) than I see settled in the so-called professional “journalists” of today. Had I turned in to my teacher some of the things I see in print (and on TV) today I’d have gotten an “F” and been told to “sharpen up, dear boy”! Seems to me that today’s ‘journalists’ are hired for the same reason actors are hired; looks and the ability to regurgitate a script. Which perhaps is the main reason I become easily disgusted and dismayed at the state of news today – “fake news” as the president rightly demeans them.

Dietrich: Actually, it was pretty bad, raising questions as to how or why it could happen. Did the Trump campaign pay NBC executives to choreograph this town hall or are they really that incompetent? Guthrie was coached by NBC executives. They knew exactly how she would behave. They did not take into consideration the negative reaction to Chris Wallace’s performance during the first debate and how that affected public regard for them, because Getting Trump was too important. But Guthrie did not come across well, and it’s going to backfire on them. It is almost unbelievable that these highly paid executives could be so incompetent.

Leftist ‘gotchya’ in deflecting truth … Bye bye Biden, Viktor Shokin, Poroshenko, Zelensky, and pres Trump…

Yours truly:
It’s quite amusing that journalists think they are smarter than our fearless president, even though he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Wharton, which just happens to be one of the top business schools in the world. There’s not a single journalist who could explain a page in a 2nd year book on statistics nor even qualify for entrance into Wharton. Savannah Guthrie, Don Lemon, Brian Stelter and the insufferable Cuomo’s (yes, both of ’em as a matter of fact) are all classic examples of nincompoops who look in the mirror and wonder who that smart person is looking back at them. Leftist ‘gotchya’ narcissists for Hire!

Dietrich: The president knew in advance what he would be confronted with. The Deep State Media have a limited number of questions in their quiver. One mandatory question is about his willingness to denounce white supremacy. Guthrie stated, “You were asked point blank to denounce white supremacy. In the moment you didn’t. You asked me follow-up questions. Two specifically.” The president mentioned that his advisors told him this would be brought up. If there is another “debate” it will certainly be brought up again. Through repetition it will convince a number of people that he has not denounced it. The fact that there is numerous recording of his denunciations is irrelevant. Have Guthrie or Wallace denounced white supremacy? If they have not done so publicly, can it be assumed that they are white supremacists?

Yours truly:
We discover that the moderator Guthrie is married to one of Al Gore’s former campaign heads (can you say “what a surprise?”). She was untenably awful and obviously ‘in it’ for the put-down. Her expressed glee at interrupting and attacking the President of the United States, shows how out of touch she is and how uncivil she could be. NBC made a mistake of gargantuan proportions, not only in their “moderator” (enemy combatant, if you ask me) but in disregarding the attractive Black woman sitting directly behind, who kept enthusiastically nodding in agreement with the President. In addition to being black, she is an immigrant and a Christian. NBC’s ‘all fall down’ staging of this event certainly failed. Big time!

Leftist ‘gotchya’ in deflecting truth.. Pres with his Mom’s Bible

Dietrich: [The] Wallace and Guthrie’s interrogation of the President played into Trump’s hands by reinforcing the view that the media is biased.  The president’s opponents believe that Guthrie did a good job and are patting themselves on the back. And with their particular interest in knocking out Trump, she did what they wanted. But audiences know about a thing called ‘fairness’ and they saw none of it in the Guthrie show. That the press wasn’t fair to Trump in 2016 was a commonly cited reason by ordinary voters for sympathizing with Trump. (In literature, a good writer always makes the reader sympathize with, and often feel sorry for, the protagonist at the start). Many voted for Trump for just this reason.

The Trump-haters are delusional in thinking they won anyhing with this unfair and sorry performance. [end]

Yours truly:
In conclusion and in my less than humble opinion, the recent media attempts to denigrate President Trump has resulted in a confirmation of his posture and behavior in fighting back. It has not been an affaire d’honneur, but rather the vassals at the keep unleashed their dogs of war only to find the intruder suitably armed to fend them off. In other words, President Trump has won the “Your Mama” contest to date.

Just compare that to Romney assuming the fetal position against Obama that one time. Leftist ‘gotchya’ Mittens!

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. ~ Hebrews 4: 15-16
